A mailing list for the discussion and sharing of information regarding the Swanborough surname and variations (e.g., Swansborough) in any place and at any time. Mailing address for postings is swanborough-l@rootsweb.com. To subscribe send the word "subscribe" (without the quotes) as the only text in the body of a message to swanborough-l-request@rootsweb.com (mail mode) or swanborough-d-request@rootsweb.com (digest mode).
For those of you who do not know what a listserve is, it is where everyone sends a message to one e-mail address and it is automatically forwarded to everyone else on the list. The regular listserve gives you messages as soon as they are sent while the digest version sends you a day's worth of messages. You are encouraged to sign up and just "listen" in to the discussions about things we are discovering. It also serves as an easy way to get information out about the reunion and other plans we are considering. You needn't be a team member to join the list.
The Swanborough Family Database is handled by Brian Taylor. He updates and hosts the Swanborough Family Database. This contains the families of the Swanborough's we have come across and in records. Due to the information available on living members of the family it is password protected and you will need to log in to access the database. The site comes with a contact and log in form to be used as needed.
Please note that at present the database is offline but you can get any details you need from it via other contact means.
If you are not a member of the group you will need to contact Brian Taylor to gain access as only people currently linked in the family tree can access it.
