Worldwide Family Reunions

The History

The members of the Swanborough Research Team felt it would be an appropriate and wonderful thing to bring the Swanborough family back together in Wiltshire, England. Where better to meet than our medieval meeting site of Swanborough Tump, the meeting place of the Hundred of Swanborough during the Anglo Saxon period in the Middle Ages. The pillar marking the site is located 2 miles from Pewsey, 6 miles from All Cannings, and 11 miles from Stonehenge.

So in the last weekend of July 2000, the first worldwide reunion of the Swan* Family was held. The youngest attendee was 3 and the eldest was 87, one woman travelled from Scotland who had been baptised in the All Saints Church in All Cannings. Family came from Scotland, Wales, England, America, South Africa and Australia. The family in New Zealand sent their family history for display at the reunion site.
